Our commitment

Innovate North is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, in line with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

Measures we take

• Semantic HTML structure with a logical heading hierarchy and landmark regions.
• Sufficient colour contrast between text and backgrounds.
• Keyboard operability, visible focus indicators, and a skip-to-content link.
• Respect for the prefers-reduced-motion setting: animations are disabled for users who request reduced motion.
• Descriptive link text, form labels, and error messages.
• Ongoing accessibility testing as part of our own quality engineering practice.

Known limitations

Embedded third-party content (such as maps) may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. Equivalent information — our address and contact details — is always provided in accessible text form.
